Here is the view out to the back yard
Rhiannon is big into crawling under chairs and trying to get under or over the rungs.
We had a leisurely early morning as we enjoyed the rain from our balcony. Then we took the train into Asker to talk with the Personnel lady about day care options (day care is called 'barnhage' and pronounced "borneh-hoggeh") -- this turns out to be quite a bit more involved and complicated than I had anticipated! It is a real procedure to get signed up for day care here. Anyway, we hung out at the Schlumberger office for a few hours and had lunch in the cafeteria downstairs. All the salad and bread is free, but you have to pay for butter and jam and meats!
Later we took a bus taxi (the first taxi rejected us because we didnt have a carseat for Rhiannon so we had to call a bus taxi!) over to see a particular day care that has an opening December 1st, and we had a rather frantic and chaotic quick tour of the small day care while the taxi driver waited for us. Meanwhile it was raining cats and dogs, but the air was so warm and humid -- not cold and arctic at all! The bus taxi guy took us back to the train station in Asker and we sat outside at a bar relaxing for a few minutes, then we took the train back to Sandvika and meandered around before going back to the apartment. We went out for a nice dinner in a nearby hotel. Rhiannon was SO good! She just chewed on toys and flirted with our Swedish waiter while Kim and I dined on lovely food.
