Well, we made it back home to San Diego. Rhiannon was very squirmy and hyper on the plane from Oslo to Newark, so she spent a bit of time in the feet area between seats. She was very busy scouring the carpet for little crumbs to put in her mouth!
It was a very long day of traveling home, but we made it. The next day (Sept 1) Rhodri came home and we left straightaway for Santa Barbara to spend the weekend with my family.

We had a party one night and Rhiannon finally got to meet Wade Everett Kirkelie. He proved to be quite a match for her! They are both rather feisty and agressive little people and it was hilarious watching them chase each other around on the floor, teaching each other new sounds and trying to share toys (as above!).
We all went to see the Lucinda Williams/ Jon Fogerty concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Sunday night. Fortunately one of the staff gave Rhiannon some earplugs to match her outfit! She made it through the Lucinda part but slept through all of the Fogerty/ CCR songs. I carried her in the Ergo pack and she didnt even budge when rowdy 50-somethings screamed "We love you Jon!" right near us.
