Today we went on a bit of an outing to a place we hadn't been before - the Cuckmere valley which is some kind of state park or reserve or something. It turned into a lovely day and the kids rode bikes while we walked out to the beach just next to the Seven Sisters cliffy chalk section (behind them in this photo).There were quite a few other people out doing the same thing but it didn't feel crowded somehow.
On the way home, we stopped for a late lunch/early dinner at "The Cricketer's Arms" in Bewick. It was a gorgeous little place with really good food. No playground though. And it started to rain just as we were finishing up, so it was good timing really.
