| Rhiannon on Sat morning |
This weekend we were invited to share in the celebration of Huw & Fran's wedding, which was scheduled to take place Saturday at noon in Bristol. Kids were not invited, however, so we drove to Cardiff on Friday night (in terrible traffic) and spent the night with Auntie Nia, Uncle Cris, Gabs and Valentin. Then the plan was for kids to stay all weekend while Rhodri and I drove back to Bristol for the wedding, spent the night there and then drove to Cardiff to pick up kids and then drive back home to Sussex on Sunday night. Yes, a lot of driving! It all went according to plan, though.

Rhods and I were a bit grumbly about all the driving, but as we said several times, Huw would have done it for us. They got married in the Registry Office in downtown Bristol and then they rode off on their bicycles while we made our way to the reception at
Battleaxes Pub on Clevedon Road (outside of Bristol).

The dress code had been stated as "wear whatever you want", so Rhodri wore jeans and I wore a long skirt. It turned out that everyone else had worn very formal attire, so Rhodri felt a bit embarrassed but he lived through it. The reception ended at 6pm and then everyone went their separate ways. We had complicated arrangements for dinner and accommodation in various far flung locations across the city as a bit of a reunion with friends from North Wales (Bleddyn, Geri, Lowri, Ffion, Gareth and Rachel), but it was a pretty good evening all in all.
