After driving back from north Wales on Monday afternoon/ evening, we quickly unpacked and repacked and left for Oslo at 6am the next morning! Remind me not to plan something like that again... anyway, it turned out fine once we got there. We reunited with Fiona and Karl-John and their twins Finn and Magnus, and it felt just like we'd never left. Here is Rhiannon racing Magnus with Tryfan in the background.
Playing in the sand at the beach by Vollen. Downtown Oslo is at the other end of the fjord in the background. It started out being a dark and almost rainy day, but unexpectedly brightened as the afternoon wore on!
Finn, Tryfan, Magnus and Rhiannon. They got on so well and were really genuinely happy to see each other.
Usually Rhiannon and Magnus are the inseparable ones, but by the end of the afternoon Finn had taken over the spot by her side.
We stayed a couple of days with our friends Guri and Geir and their 3 kids: Live, Mari (who Rhiannon went to barnehage with), and baby Endre who just turned 1. Then we moved to our old neighborhood in Engelsrud and stayed for the rest of the week across the street from our old house with our friends Monica, Helge, Kristoffer and baby Joakim (who also just turned 1!).
