Beach and bike outing

Today we were planning to go into London and visit the Natural History Museum, but in the morning we decided to save this for another day. Instead, we put the kids bikes and Bentley into the back of the car and drove off to Cuckmere Haven to walk/cycle down to the beach. Its kind of a big effort doing this because it takes nearly an hour to drive to the place that we have to then pay to park and take the path down to the seashore, but we made a day of it.

It is a shingle beach, which means that there isn't much sand -only rocks. But it was a beautiful cloudy day and the ocean air felt good.  Then on the drive home we stopped off for a Sunday lunch at this great pub called the Barley Mow.

All in all it was a great Sunday and a great way to spend the last day of this month!
