Today we had invited a family who are new to the area over to our house to go for a walk in the woods and have tea, etc. The forecast was for heavy rain and stormy winds in the afternoon, so we encouraged them to come sooner rather than later in the day. We were so happy to get to know Chris, Roland and their 3 boys, the eldest of whom is in Rhiannon's class.

But then we'd also arranged for our old friends Winnie, Peter and Joanna to come over at 2:30pm for birthday cake and tea. In the end, we had 8 minutes to clear up after our first group of visitors left and the second group arrived. It was a day of many pots of tea! Winnie and I spent quite a long time looking through my wardrobe with Winnie advising me on new combinations of clothes to wear to work. It was a long but good Sunday.
