Annie's wedding

After we landed last night, we checked into the Westin La Paloma hotel where we will be staying until Monday, and then we zoomed off to the church so that R & T could participate in the wedding rehearsal. We went to Judy & Joe's gorgeous house for the rehearsal dinner and then back to the hotel so we could reunite with the rest of my family before bedtime. What a day!

Today was Annie & Jeff's wedding. The ceremony was scheduled for 4pm, with reception following from 6pm back at the hotel. Naturally, we went swimming all morning in the hotel pools because it was 115 F (46 C)!! Then around 2pm, Rhiannon and I went back to Joe & Judy's house where Annie and all the bridesmaids were getting ready for the wedding. We had our hair fixed and shared the special excitement of the wedding day before going back to the hotel to change clothes, gather everyone up, and drive down to the church.

The ceremony went as planned with no dramas. Rhiannon did a fabulous job of handing out flowers as the Flower Girl, and Tryfan was a very serious and dedicated Ring Bearer. Annie looked stunning and serene, and everyone was so, so happy for the newlyweds. We took a bunch of family photos after the wedding, but I don't have copies of them yet so can't publish.
