Wenatchee to Tucson

We had a great afternoon and evening with our friends Dave and Shel -- swimming in their pool, lounging around drinking beers and catching up, then we went out for dinner and came back to put the kids to sleep. We adults stayed up really late talking and then had to get up at 4 am to go to the airport.

The next morning we got up ridiculously early because the flight Wenatchee to Seattle left at 6 am. All that was fine and then we had a lovely breakfast, played cards and did some shopping at the Seattle airport while we waited a couple of hours for our 10am flight to Tucson.

We had a gorgeous flight down the length of the western USA. At one point somewhere over eastern Nevada, Tryfan was looking out the window and asked "What is all that brown stuff down there?" "Tryfan, that is the the great American west. All the brown stuff is rocks and dirt with only a few bushes and trees." He had never seen such a great expanse and was really impressed. Then we flew over the Grand Canyon!

We landed in Tucson, got our rental car, and headed out for our Tucson wedding adventure!
