Spectacular storms and sea

This morning we went into town and did a bit of shopping. We didn't buy much in the end, but we did some looking and walking around, and it was very nice. In the afternoon, Rhods went off for a bike ride with Bleddyn while the kids and I went to the beach

It was very low tide and with the shallow slope gradient, you could walk out into the water for a really long ways. The water was calm, glassy and quite warm and it felt so good to swim around a bit. But then the tide started to come in and so did loads of jellyfish! Yikes!

We could see some spectacular lightening and hear the thunder in the foothills around Snowdonia to the south of us, and although it didn't get us wet we did receive a "rescue me" call from Rhods. So we picked him and his bike up from Trefriw and then went back to the flat to prepare dinner for our guests Nain and Taid.

So it turned out to be quite a full, good day in the end.
